Valve Corporation, also known as Valve Software, which makes games under the name Valve, made Half-Life, Counter-Strike, Portal, Day of Defeat, Team Fortress, Left 4 Dead, and Dota. Valve is happy for you to make fanworks of their games, as long as you don't make any money off of it if you post it outside of certain ones of their proprietary platforms.
